Masters Services Thermal and sound insulation: The use of PVC-U in windows and doors provides a product which has good thermal and sound insulation properties and the stability of the product also ensures that there is a very good resistance to air and water penetration. The multi chambered design of the window and door profiles not only improves its thermal insulation properties but also allows the insertion of steel reinforcement for added strength and security. Window Masters PVC-U products are available in standard and non standard sizes and are supplied with 28mm double glazed units as standard providing a 20mm air gap. Window Masters PVC-U windows and doors can be fitted in the traditional manner or in new build situations they can be fitted using our new Window Masters Former system which is a highly efficient, integrated former, cavity closer, D.P.C and frame accepter. Weatherproofing: All PVC-U windows and doors are double weather stripped for optimum performance. Weather strips are manufactured from a non-stretch cellular core foam with low friction outer sheath. Weather strips perform in accordance with BS 6375. Separate drainage chambers assist with exceptional weather performance without moisture coming into contact with the steel reinforcing. Glazing: Window Masters PVC-U low level windows ( minimum height 800 mm ) and doors are supplied and fitted with toughened safety glass as standard to comply with current Glass and Glazing Federation recommendations for safety in glazing. Window Masters only use Pilkington glass that conforms to BS6206 and BS6262. Iron Mongery: Windows are hung on two stainless steel hinges and have white key locking handles as standard. ( other colours available on request ). The locking mechanism used as standard is the Espagnollet locking system however shoot bolts available on request. Residential doors and French doors are hung on flag hinges for maximum adjustment. A high multi point hook lock system with anti " Jemmy " facility is fitted as standard for high security and peace of mind. Patio doors are fitted with a high security 4 point locking system with dual access keyed cylinder facilitated internal and external key operation. Anti lift block for additional security. Security: At Window Masters security is taken very seriously, hence all our PVC-U products are internally glazed and boast high security locking features. ^ Top of Page | ||||
